Comprehensive Virtual Services

When you refer a patient to our clinic, they receive specialized care tailored to their unique metabolic needs:

  • Advanced Medication Management: Initiation and titration of oral agents, injectables (GLP-1s, GIPs)

  • CGM & Glucometer Support: Prescribing, analyzing, and educating patients on Continuous Glucose Monitors and standard blood glucose tracking (at risk for Hypoglycemia patients only)

  • Dietary & Lifestyle Coaching: Culturally competent, realistic nutritional guidance and exercise planning designed for long-term adherence.

  • Frequent Touchpoints: Longer, more frequent virtual check-ins and direct messages to encourage accountability, adjust medications safely, and reduce emergency room visits.

  • Lab Monitoring: Ordering and interpreting routine diabetes-specific labs (A1C, microalbumin, lipid panels) at the patient's preferred local lab.

A Simple, Frictionless Referral Process

We have streamlined our intake process to save your staff time and get your patients seen quickly.

Step 1: Send the Referral Fax your patient’s face sheet, most recent clinic note, and recent labs (including A1C) to 505.212.4332.

Step 2: We Contact the Patient Our dedicated intake coordinator will reach out to the patient within 48 hours to explain our virtual model, verify their NM Medicaid coverage, and schedule their comprehensive initial evaluation.

Step 3: Coordinated Care Following the patient's initial visit, you will receive our assessment, treatment plan, and any medication changes via fax or secure EMR message.

Hi, my name is Rich. I am a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing expansive care for Type 2 Diabetes. My clinical background spans the full spectrum of care—from the front lines of the ER and ICU to the personal setting of Home Health and Family Medicine.

I founded NextBeat Health to provide accessible, proactive, and deeply personalized care, I also have Type 2 Diabetes. Experiencing chronic conditions as a patient, has profoundly informed my approach to care.

We live in the Albuquerque area and I am honored to serve the community here and across New Mexico.
